The Galleries of Remembrance are set in an underground chamber beneath the Shrine with permanent and special exhibitions about Australians who have served in different theatres of war and Australia’s history in War.
The Shrine’s undercroft has been developed into a new exhibition space, known as the “Galleries of Remembrance”. Among the many historical objects in the “Galleries of Remembrance” and the design elements of the Shrine itself, the following are highlights:
- Gallipoli Lifeboat from the SS Devanha
- Changi Flag
- External Architecture & Design of the Shrine
