Center of Science and Industry, COSI – Virtual Tour

The Center of Science and Industry, better known as COSI, is a science museum and research center in Columbus, Ohio.

Initially opened in 1964, COSI was moved to a larger facility in 1999, which features more than 300 interactive exhibits throughout themed exhibition areas.

COSI has developed immersive theatrical learning worlds with hands-on exhibits and displays for seven main exhibit areas:

Highlights of COSI

COSI outreach education program
Camp-In overnight program for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts
Submarine laboratory to explore the realities of ocean research
A replica space station pod to tour
Recreation of a small town from 1898, before the availability of electricity and modern technologies
Hands-on experiments, such as pulleys, wind tunnels, magnets, engines, and counterweights
Optical illusions experiments with physical illusions and anechoic chamber

COSI has established partnerships with local organizations that maintain specialist offices and exhibit spaces. Examples include:
