The Barnes Foundation collection includes over 180 paintings by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, over 60 by Paul Cézanne, over 50 by Henri Matisse plus many paintings by Pablo Picasso, Chaim Soutine, Henri Rousseau, Amedeo Modigliani, Edgar Degas, Vincent van Gogh and Georges Seurat.

The collection also includes many other European and American masters plus African artworks, ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman art, American and European furniture, decorative arts and metalwork.
